New Program to Help Students During Distance Learning

  • News

As  families gear up for another school year, many kids won’t be returning to the classroom. For students who live in affordable housing, distance learning poses even greater obstacles. Many kids do not have access to a quiet place to study, enough nutritious food, devices they don’t share and parental academic supervision. That’s why we are thrilled to partner with Trillium Community Health Plan and the Eugene Public Library to launch our “Books and Bites” program. Once a month, at all of our properties, we’ll be handing out healthy snacks and free library books to kids of all ages. We hope this is one step in many that will help these students succeed this year.
