Local Boy Scouts Volunteer for Halloween Fun

  • News

Eugene, OR.– We are an organization that thrives because of the kindness of our amazing volunteers and we have missed them terribly during Covid-19. That’s why it was such a treat to welcome the Boy Scouts of America Troop 428 to our Willakenzie Crossing property to help us stuff 150 Halloween treat bags for kids. Halloween this year, due to Covid, had to look a little different. With state health officials warning against traditional trick or treating due to the lack of social distancing, we “reversed trick or treated” instead. We brought the candy to the kids in low contact bags.

We were so impressed by the hard work ethic and passion for helping others that Troop 428 brought with them. If you would like to volunteer (socially distanced) email [email protected]
